Brethren,
the Capstan Group is our Area’s amity group and exists to provide support, networking, social gatherings, and days out for our elderly brethren, Lodge widows, and widowers.
It meets regularly twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 11:00 until 13:00 at Purbook Masonic Centre and publicises its events via Facebook and Lodge Almoners. Occasionally, there are other meetings but these are usually associated with outings to the theatre, coach trips and mystery tours. The activities usually involve an interesting talk from someone outside the group, playing bingo, quizzes, and luncheons. We also have a yearly “bake a cake” competition which is normally judged by Purbrook’s resident chef.
